Carter Agency
Carter Agency was a fast-growing influencer management and marketing agency founded by Josh Popkin.
As a former content creator himself, Josh recognized an emerging problem in the creator economy: talented creators were attracting millions of views and building enormous audiences, but many had little experience turning that attention into sustainable businesses.
The company began simply, with Josh helping a friend secure small brand partnerships. From there, Carter Agency grew into an established creator management business, representing leading social media talent and helping its clients secure paid partnerships with Fortune 500 companies and major global brands, including Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, Apple, and many others.
What started with a few creators and small brand deals ultimately became a company working at the intersection of creators, advertising agencies, and some of the world's largest brands.
This website was created to preserve and reminisce about the best moments from that journey—the campaigns, creators, partnerships, and memories that defined Carter Agency's growth from nothing into something.
Founder
Josh Paul Popkin
Josh Popkin is an American entrepreneur, marketing engineer, and author. He is the founder of Position Strategy Group, an Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) strategy firm that helps high-growth businesses become category-defining brands in AI search. He is the author of the book Play Offense, published on Amazon. Josh Popkin earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Cornell University as a Cornell Tech Merit Scholar in 2025. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Bucknell University in 2018.
